WELCOME!

I'm Marie Konkola—an experienced Filipino professional teacher, skills coach and digital learning resource creator. My higher education is in the field of Education,

Sociology and Public Administration. I was a former university lecturer and operations manager of an education consultancy. I help students with their applications for studying overseas including IELTS coaching. I also teach Filipino language to non-native speakers.

I create printable resources, online courses, and learning materials for children, adults, educators, and families. My work focuses on Tagalog, English, Finnish, and Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC), with a special interest in supporting bilingual and multilingual learners.

Through my teaching and educational resources, I aim to make language learning simple, enjoyable, and accessible. Whether you're beginning your journey in Finnish, improving your English for work or the IELTS exam, learning Tagalog to connect with family and culture, or looking for ready-to-use ECEC materials, you'll find practical resources designed to build confidence and real-world skills.

I moved to Finland from the Philippines in 2021 and have been living here since then. Off from studies and work, you'll find me gardening, crafting or tending our honey bees in the quite contryside of Turku, Finland's old capital city. I show life in Finland from the eyes of an expat integrating into the Finnish community with the aim to provide insights into the Finnish lifestyle and culture.

I speak English as my second language, Filipino is my mother tongue and my Finnish level is B2.
